Our
Story
Founded on April 1, 1996, WELFON Telecommunication Centre began its journey with the opening of its first retail outlet on Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. In 1998, we expanded our retail presence with the launch of a multi-brand store at The Summit USJ, featuring prominent mobile brands such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, NEC, Siemens, and BlackBerry.
Our growth accelerated in 2005 when we became an official dealer for Samsung Malaysia, enabling rapid expansion into key locations including Subang Parade, Sungei Wang, Sunway Pyramid, and IOI Mall Puchong. In 2008, we were incorporated as WELFON Telecommunication Sdn. Bhd., and by 2011, we were appointed as Samsung Master Dealer for the Central Region—covering Selangor, the Federal Territories, and Negeri Sembilan. We raised the bar in 2012 with the opening of Malaysia’s largest Samsung Experience Store Large (SESL) at The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
Today, WELFON operates more than 10 physical stores located in prominent shopping malls across the Klang Valley, continuing to serve Malaysian consumers with trusted, high-quality service. In addition to retailing the latest electronics devices and accessories, we offer after-sales services, trade-ins, and flexible installment plans to enhance customer convenience.
Our longstanding partnership with Samsung and other leading electronics brands allows us to bring the latest innovations to market. In recent years, we’ve embraced digital transformation through our e-commerce platform, providing a seamless omnichannel experience for tech-savvy customers. Backed by a dedicated team and a commitment to service excellence, WELFON continues to explore new growth areas—from expanding into emerging markets to diversifying into smart devices and connected lifestyle solutions. In 2020, the relocation of our headquarters to Wisma Conlay reflects our ambition to remain at the forefront of Malaysia’s technology retail sector.
